The shooting of Deandre "Trey" Brunston, a 24-year-old African-American, occurred in Compton, Los Angeles County, California, on August 24, 2003. He was shot 22 times by Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies, who fired 81 rounds.
He threatened Officers with a flip flop held in his hand behind his shirt.
They shouted out the they had a dog and that they were going to let him go and that he wîlll bite you.
DeAndre, continued to remain defiant and repeated, " Let It Go Cuz!!!... You don't know what I got, Let it Go Cuz"
They let the dog go and simultaneously, unloaded a barrage gun fire that instantly killed the Police Dog and while the dog handler retrieved his dog was cursing the Officers for shooting his dog.
DeAndre was left to die.
The scene looks as if it was on a well lit stage and very tragic.
It happens a lot.
