There is something primordial within us that connects smoke with spirituality.

In Native American tradition, it’s seen as a bridge to the higher realms, a way to bring in good spirits and dispel the negative or stagnant ones. The most common smoke-purification ritual used by tribes is a technique called smudging.

This image was composed of by many photographers layered over a photograph of myself to represent my Native American Heritage and from my experiences and my own spiritual nature wanted to create an image that depicts this ritual and myself as the Shaman blowing out all the negative things to cleans my spirit of the things that are obstacles and the fears that hold us back.
